Maison Margiela 2015 Hand Painted Jeans from line "10" - The Men's Collection. One of Maison Margiela's most iconic pieces is the Hand-painted Jean. Usually in white or black paint, the jeans are hand object coated with paint from head to toe, ignoring hardware or seams. Various signature jeans are made throughout Margiela's upbringing consisting of different paint composition and properties.. The paint composition comes in various forms, sometimes textured, thin and flat or hard and distressed. The more complex and iconic hand painted jeans are from the artisanal line of "0" and "0 10" from the late 90's and early 00's. The H&M + Margiela collaboration played an homage to the original Hand Painted Jean. Here we have hand painted jeans with what looks like a low resin paint with a lack of paint thinner resulting in a high viscosity finish. This paint composition results in intense cracking and peeling, chipping away and forming cracks molding around the wearer's pulls and creases. As time passes, the jeans will mold to the user, uniquely aged by him/her, similar to how the process of raw denim fades are formed. New with tags. Size 50 best for a 32-33.$202 -

Raf Simons FW2004-2005 Paisley Hoodie from "Waves". Iconic collection which was built around this excerpt from Spanish Philosopher Ortega Y Gasset: Life is, in itself and forever, shipwreck. To be shipwrecked is not to drown. The poor human being, feeling himself sinking into the abyss, moves his arms to keep afloat. This movement of the arms is culture—a swimming stroke. For this season Raf printed this passage on tags, sweaters, jackets and so on. This is also carefully printed along the printed paisley design for this piece. These pants stood tall as a staple for many rick heads, but also stands as a indicator of how far Rick Owens has progressed in terms of design. 6.5/10 condition. Rick Owens once sought to pursue a low top Vans silhouette in addition to the highly acclaimed "Dunk" Sneaker which molded itself over a concoction of Nike hi top sneakers. Extremely rare and limited in quantity, this is in the "old skool" classic black/white colour featuring an all leather upper, shares a "Dunk" 'Staple Sole' and leather inner. Exaggerated silhouette, curved, like many Rick sneakers and bold accents. Contrast white stitching. Both staples are intact and show slight rusting which makes it in amazing condition for a 10 year old shoe as the staples are the first to deteriorate with Dunks as well. Upper is in perfect condition despite the natural dye bleeding from the black upper into some of the white parts. Hardly noticeable scuffing around the front sole. These pants are more hefty in construction and are made from a superior material composition than the DRKSHDW counterpart. For this season Rick went at it with a simple straight cut, with one cargo pocket in the front and two regular pockets at the back. Fold over signature aircut zip with the classic and universally well-acclaimed Raccagni zippers instead of the more recent YKK zips with a button on the back. Fine details like the belt region being uninterrupted and conjoined seamlessly with the main body. The material is of a thick velour/velvet cotton in a pitch black. NWT 10/10 condition. Probably one of the most iconic pieces from Raf Simons -- The "Consumed" Button Up in white on black as displayed on the runway. This piece deserves some explanation especially as there's little of it despite the interest surrounding it today. The button up, to bluntly put it, graphically exemplifies "Consumed", the entire season and its creative foundations, as the above show note statement suggests. More so it resembles the "tattooed" model also carrying similar corporate graphics which was a strong highlight for Raf's show. And as with all of Raf's work, inspired and continues to inspire Men's fashion/youth amongst creators, enthusiasts and the like. Ashley Bickerton's work was also featured in the 2003 Consumed season as well. Matte and coated fabric. Sunlight does not shine through this. The graphics are also matted and coated and have a distinct texture to them.
