Balenciaga SS17 Scrunch Waist Oversized Khaki Pants. SS17 featured a hidden throwback to the original Cristobal Balenciaga which played with casual but smart streetwear influenced silhouettes with structured shoulders and rearranged proportions. For Demna’s SS17 collection, oversized trousers were the adhesive that put each fit together; Starting from the high tight waist, usually underneath a cropped bomber or jacket, continuing to a long body accentuating the lower half of the wearer and ending flared out over a basic derby or a dad sneaker. Khaki ants are lined with a smooth and silky cupro unlike the standard button fly chino version. Upper waist is a scrunch waist allowing for belt-free comfort. Extremely long inseam which stacks heavily at the bottom similar to old unhemmed suit-pants of the late 80’s and early 90’s.
