Iconic GAT by Margiela. Modeled after the actual German Army Trainer from the 50's forward. There are many variations of this shoe. This is a calf and lamb leather mix with a red sole. sz 44. 8.5/10 condition.

Paper Mache Margiela German Army Trainers. Every few times year the Margiela team uses the signature GATs as a canvas to do... whatever. Sometimes they make it from odd materials, other times they object dye it, sometimes they cover the entire shoe in felt but this time they decided to mummify the entire thing. I can imagine the distressing and wear of the shoe will age the shoe nicely as the mache peels around creases. New in Box. Sz 43 fits size US10

Maison Martin Margiela Iconic Paint Splattered German Army Trainer Sneaker. The only piece of the "replica"(outside of parfumes) line that doesn't follow its biyearly trend, the GAT is a staple of Margiela's footwear. This is the full leather calf/lamb split in black instead of the usual split with nubuck. Last year Margiela introduced custom MMM soles instead of the conventional GAT sole. Paint on the sneaker is extremely durable compared to what other designers try to do with "Pollock" styled designs. 9.5/10 Nearly perfect, with just some light creasing. Size 42 Fits True to a US9.
