SS07 “Purple” Leather Sleeve Tailored Perfecto. This is the leather sleeve tailored jacket in the more sought after “Short-Collared” version. Tailored jacket clashes with moto perfecto — A fine example of Jun Takahashi’s rebuilt/reconstructed pieces. The torso/body section is deconstructed and ripped out from a whole jacket, with the distressed lamb moto sleeves attached to the inner lining of the jacket, with the leather reaching the mid-chest. The novice designer would start the leather where the shoulder meets the sleeves and sew it down, but an entire hand and a half can fit underneath the cutoff shoulder blade. This attentive detail is a prime example of what separates Jun’s subtle deconstruction efforts from the rest, with many more hidden in other staple pieces.
