SS16 “Scab” Joy Division “This Is The Way Step Inside” Flannel
SS16 Half Sleeve Flannel by Undercover for their "Greatest" Collection which revisits old UC collections. This flannel is light, unlined, half sleeved with fringe/distress details on all hems. Two chest pockets, button up placket with gingham plaid. Shoulder/pit area is deconstructed and sewn back together with crude contrast stitching. Asymmetrical Bottom Hem. This, as with many UC pieces, is inspired by and borrow elements from music, mostly punk and post rock. "THIS IS THE WAY STEP INSIDE" are lyrics from Joy Division's 1980 Closer album; "Atrocity Exhibition"

This is the 20th season for Raf Simons and he initially sought to pay a tribute to his revered past collections but he and his team simply didn't feel that it was "relevant" to do anything old, instead opted to keep doing something new. This however was an homage to his influences Helmut Lang and Maison Margiela. Fits a little big, material is thin but not transparent as picture suggests (we're getting to fix the lighting issues), soft. High quality silk print on bank with "RS" signature logo patch sewn on back.

Takahiro Miyashita "The Soloist" Long Sleeved Henley. The Soloist is the follow up to Takahiro Miyashita's "Number (N)ine" which focused on a more rugged folk, conceptual look putting form over message of N(N) (until very recently). This henley is from the earlier works featuring crude, but beautifuly crafted, designs of multi-material pieces and distressed/worn-in details. Silk and Cotton blend giving the top a nice sheen. The material is intentionally pilled, asymmetrical and loosely fitting. Phantom button up. Low hanging pits with 3/4 sleeves for an exaggerated bottom heavy silhouette.
